Night of a Thousand Dinners has inspired people to take action against landmines. To date some $5 millon has been raised in over 50 countries. Here are just a few of the reasons people gave for hosting N1KD events:

“Night of a Thousand Dinners is a wonderful activity, which not only raised money to make this good work happen, but also provided an evening of fellowship and provided a glimpse of Rotary to non-Rotarians.”
Chris Snyder, Rotary Club of Toronto.

“Who wouldn't feel good about throwing together a meal with friends and knowing that in the process you are potentially saving an innocent life?” Julia Ormond, Actor/Producer

"I teach my students that it is very important for young people to help kids in other parts of the world. We have now raised a total of $10,000 in the years that we have been doing Night of AThousand Dinners. All of that money has gone to clear landmines and help landmine survivors."
Ms. Jill Inch’s Grade 12 World Issues class, Sir James Dunn High School, Sault Ste. Marie
